This 5 days Bwindi gorilla tracking and Bunyonyi safari is a hustle free trip that can suit a solo traveler, couple or even group tours. You will traverse the forests of Bwindi national park and relax on the shores of lake Bunyonyi, the second deepest lake in Africa.

Bwindi impenetrable national park a world heritage site is located in the South Western part of Uganda.. The park is a home to half of the remaining endangered mountain gorillas on earth where the rest are in Virunga Mountain.

Bwindi impenetrable has the spectacular view of the virunga volcanoes, sparkling rivers and streams, deep valleys, 120 mammal species, steep ridges, 350 bird species, butterflies and lastly the Batwa tribe as the locals with unique culture.

Day 1; Arrival and Transfer to your Hotel in Entebbe

On your arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will be welcomed our professional guide. He will brief you about your 4 days Bwindi gorilla tracking flying safari and transfer you to your hotel for relaxation and dinner.

Day2; Road Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

You will have breakfast and get ready to start on your long journey of about 9 hours to Bwindi. You will have your first stop over at the Equator line in Kayabwe for memorial photos and experiment and coffee. You will have your second stop over in Mbarara city at Igongo cultural center for lunch and refreshments and then resume your journey up to Bwindi Impenetrable national park. On your journey, you will enjoy the beautiful nature and scenery of south western Uganda especially the terraced hills.

DAY 3; Gorilla tracking and Batwa Community experience

You will start your day with a morning breakfast and get ready to be transferred to the park headquarters for gorilla trekking briefing from the UWA staff. A ranger guide will then lead you into the jungle to see the rare primates. You are advised to pack your snacks and drinking water because you can never be sure of the time you will spend in the forests.  Gorilla trekking is one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth and this experience lasts from 3-7hours.

After spotting them, you will spend one full hour in their presence and you are allowed to ask as many questions as you want from your guide.

After tracking the gorillas in their habitats with the help of the guide, you will be brought back to your lodge for afternoon relaxation. In the evening, you will be picked to go for a village walk experience around Batwa homes for local experience. This village walk gives you a great chance to meet the people who used to stay in the forests before they were relocated by the government for conservation.

After this informative and interactive experience, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day4; Morning Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for Relaxation

You will have your breakfast and then get on the road to Lake Bunyonyi and the journey takes jus t1 hour. This is a freshwater lake is free from diseases and crocodiles; therefore you are free to swim if you want. On your arrival, you will check in at your lodge and relax as you gaze on this beautiful lake with 29 islands.

In the afternoon, you will take a boat/canoe to explore the islands and among them is the punishment island. This will take you into the local history and culture and how the island used to be the dumping place for girls who could get pregnant before marriage. Then you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day5; Morning Boat experience or Canoeing and Transfer to Entebbe

On this last lady of your 5 days Bwindi gorilla tracking and Bunyonyi safari you will have a warm breakfast and get ready to embark on your journey back to Entebbe airport. You will have a stopover in Masaka city for lunch and then proceed with your journey up to Entebbe International airport for your flight as it marks the end of the beautiful safari.
