7 Days Explore northern Uganda

Our 7 Days Explore Northern Uganda will take you to the far north of Uganda to the Kidepo Valley National Park, along the borders with South Sudan, the conservation area is an amazing park with unique species, including the rock hyrax, ostrich, cheetahs, and over 460 species of birds, the park describes the typical setup of the African wilderness and has for been nominated one of the best places to go on an African safari, the golden disappearing grasses into the mountains of Morungule, the Murchison falls national park is the largest conservation area of Uganda, is home to the big four of the savannah(African elephants, African buffaloes, Leopards and Lions)

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park.

Upon arrival, our guide representative will welcome you from the Entebbe International Airport and transfer you towards northern Uganda, we will take a scheduled flight to the Kidepo airstrip, which takes about 2hours to the destination, and the flyover through the ecosystem is a magical experience, our lodge representative will pick you to check-in in have lunch and an afternoon game drive in the park which will end in sundowners. Dinner and staying overnight at

Apoka Safari Lodge.

Meal plan: Breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Day 2: Full-day game drives

Morning breakfast, we will be transferred to the Narus Valley in search of animals, this part of the conservation area has a higher concentration of mammals compared to other regions, through the well-distributed trails and along the dry river beds are dotted animal species, except to see lions, leopards, African buffaloes, elands, zebras, giraffes, waterbucks, Jackson hartebeest, to mention a few, lunch will be at the lodge take some rest and later in the afternoon enjoy game drives which end in sundowners. Day 3: Game drives and the Lorukul community visit.

Breakfast after which we will return to the park in search of species, we might have missed the previous day, look out for small antelopes through the grasses like the oribi, reedbucks, Jackson hartebeests, zebras, rock hyrax, and birds, we will return to the lodge for an early lunch, take a swim at the crated pool of the lodge and an afternoon visit to the Lorukul community, the Karamojong’s will exhibit their culture through performing dance and songs, show you through the manyattas returning on a game drive and sundowner, dinner and staying overnight at

Day 4: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Morning breakfast after which we will be transferred to Uganda’s largest conservation area, it is bisected into 2 by the Victoria Nile it is the oldest of parks stretching along the floor of the great Albertine rift valley, it is amazing how much you will see in the conservation area, this transfer is by road through the Kitgum-Gulu road, passing via small villages and towns of northern Uganda, it takes 6 hours drive to the destination arriving in the evening for a hike to the top of the falls. dinner and staying overnight at the hotel that has been booked

Day 5: Game drives and boat cruise to the bottom of the falls.

On this day we will enjoy a  morning breakfast after which we will be transferred to the northern bank of Pakuba for game drives, there are more animals on this side of the park compared to the south, and game drives through the well-distributed game routes will showcase the best of Murchison falls national park, expect to see lions, elephants, waterbucks, bushbucks, leopards, Rothchild’s giraffes, oribi, hyenas, returning to the lodge for lunch and an afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of the falls, this will have you enjoy the best of the park, expect to see many water animals including the sun basking crocodiles along the banks of the river Nile and Hippos.

Day 6: Transfer to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and relaxation

Early in the morning, we will drive to Nakasongola for the Ziwa rhino experience during the 1990’s there were so many Rhinos in Uganda, however, due to continued hunting in the national park of Murchison these happened to go extinct and were only reintroduced in 2000s, it is the only place of Uganda to see white Rhinos, these make up the big four of the wilderness, we will arrive in time for a briefing after which we head into the area for tracking on foot, you will be escorted by a ranger, later return to the lodge for dinner and evening relaxation at the lodge veranda of Amuka lodge.

Day 7: Departure

Wake up to a morning breakfast after which we return to Kampala or Entebbe for our international flight back home
